It’s just on the very edge of being great!

Problem 1: Toad supports SSH connections out of the box! Great! But it doesn’t support public key authentication. It only supports password authentication via SSH.

Problem 2: Toad does not support Materialized Views for PostgreSQL. Not just that, but they’re entirely invisible in the interface. You’d never know they were missing.

Unfortunately, problem 2 is a non-starter for my environment, even working around problem 1.
